Ip Man 5 (2025)

Starring: Donnie Yen, Tony Jaa, Scott Adkins, and new characters played by Donnie Yen’s son, James Yen, and new additions such as Michelle Yeoh.

Plot:
In Ip Man 5, the legendary martial arts master, Ip Man (Donnie Yen), returns for his final showdown, a culmination of his life’s work and legacy. After years of training the next generation of fighters, including Bruce Lee (who makes a brief, poignant appearance), Ip Man is drawn into one last battle to protect the honor of his martial arts style and safeguard his family from a growing criminal organization that has infiltrated the martial arts world.

The plot kicks off when a powerful international syndicate, led by a ruthless former disciple turned enemy, Viktor Rojas (Scott Adkins), starts corrupting martial arts competitions across China. Rojas, once a student of Ip Man’s, has abandoned the principles of Wing Chun for power and wealth. Using brutal, unorthodox methods, he has become a notorious force in the criminal underworld, spreading his corrupt influence on a global scale.

When Rojas challenges Ip Man to a duel, not only for control over the martial arts world but also for revenge on his former teacher, Ip Man reluctantly accepts. But this battle is more than just about physical confrontation—it’s a war of ideals. As the fight intensifies, Ip Man must teach his students and fellow martial artists the true meaning of honor, discipline, and respect, ultimately leading to an epic, final confrontation that will determine the future of Wing Chun.

Joining Ip Man on his journey are familiar faces from previous films, including Master Wong (Tony Jaa), who helps Ip Man fight against Rojas’s growing army of corrupt martial artists, and new allies such as a brilliant strategist (Michelle Yeoh), who brings a new level of intellect to the fight. Ip Man’s son, James (played by Donnie Yen’s real-life son, James Yen), also plays a pivotal role in this final chapter, proving that the next generation can carry on the legacy of Wing Chun.

As the climactic battle approaches, Ip Man’s life flashes before his eyes—his struggles, his victories, and his deep love for his family and martial arts. Will he be able to defeat Rojas and save the spirit of his beloved Wing Chun?
