Plot:
In Raya and the Last Dragon: Live Action (2026), the mystical world of Kumandra comes to life in a breathtaking live-action adventure, blending vibrant cultures, stunning landscapes, and captivating martial arts. The heart of the story remains unchanged: Raya (Kelly Marie Tran), a skilled warrior princess, embarks on a quest to find Sisu, the last dragon, and save her kingdom from an ancient evil known as the Druun.

Set in the mystical land of Kumandra, where humans and dragons once lived in harmony, the peace was shattered centuries ago when the Druun, an evil force that turns everything it touches into stone, invaded the land. With dragons sacrificing themselves to protect humanity, the survivors must learn to unite the fragmented regions of Kumandra to fight back.

Raya, the daughter of Chief Benja (Donnie Yen), was raised with the hope of reuniting the five fractured tribes of Kumandra. After a devastating betrayal, Raya is forced to go on a perilous journey to find the last dragon, Sisu (Awkwafina), who is believed to have the power to stop the Druun. Along the way, she meets a diverse group of allies, including the charming and resourceful Boun (Daniel Henney), a young thief and boat captain; the brave and loyal Noi (Gemma Chan), a street-smart child; and Tong (Tony Leung), a formidable warrior from the land of Fang.

As Raya and her unlikely team traverse treacherous lands, they must learn to trust each other and overcome their differences. Throughout their journey, Raya’s own belief in unity, courage, and sacrifice is tested, as she discovers that saving Kumandra requires more than just finding Sisuβ€”it requires bringing the people together and defeating the Druun from within.

The live-action version brings a heightened realism to the world of Kumandra, with stunning visual effects that showcase the magic of the dragons and the unique landscapes. The action is exhilarating, featuring breathtaking sword fights, powerful dragon magic, and heartfelt moments of emotional depth.

In the climactic battle, Raya and Sisu must face the true nature of the Druun, leading to a moment of realization that the power to overcome darkness lies in unity and trust. Raya learns that while dragons may be magical, the real strength lies in the people who come together to protect what they love.
