BORN WITH BRITTLE BONE DISEASE AND FACING HYDROCEPHALUS, LITTLE LARINHA SHOWS A QUIET STRENGTH THAT SHINES THROUGH EVERY CHALLENGE

Larinha was born into the world carrying a challenge few could imagine.
Diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, often known as brittle bone disease, her condition makes her bones extremely fragile, meaning even the smallest movement can lead to fractures. From her very first days, life has required extraordinary strength.

Recently, Larinha faced another serious medical hurdle. She underwent a major operation to treat Hydrocephalus, a condition where fluid builds up in the brain. During the surgery, doctors placed a valve to help drain the excess fluid — a critical step in protecting her health and development.

While the procedure was necessary, Larinha’s journey is far from over.
She now requires ongoing care, including speech therapy, specialized treatments, and continuous monitoring by pediatric specialists. Each step is essential to help her grow, communicate, and experience life as fully as possible.

However, her family faces a painful reality.
Their insurance does not cover the medical support Larinha needs, leaving them to depend on the kindness and support of others to continue her treatment.

“Every day with Larinha is both a blessing and a challenge,” her family shared. “She is so small, yet so incredibly strong. Even after everything she’s been through, she keeps fighting.”
They describe her as a child who brings light into their lives despite the hardships.

“We just want to give her the care she deserves,” they said. “To see her smile, to hear her voice one day — that is our greatest dream.”
