RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON 2 (2025)
Genre: Animation, Adventure, Fantasy, Family
Starring: Kelly Marie Tran, Awkwafina, Benedict Wong, Gemma Chan, Sandra Oh, and introducing: Daniel Dae Kim

Plot:

RAYA AND THE LAST DRAGON 2 picks up several years after the events of the first film, where Raya (Kelly Marie Tran) and her newfound friends successfully restored peace to the Kingdom of Kumandra by uniting the fractured lands and defeating the evil Drunn with the help of Sisu the dragon (voiced by Awkwafina). Now, with peace restored and trust between the kingdoms beginning to heal, Raya has taken up the mantle of protector, watching over the Dragon Gem and working to maintain unity across the land.

However, a new, unforeseen threat emerges. A powerful sorceress named Zara (Gemma Chan) seeks to tap into the forbidden magic that once controlled the Drunn, threatening to undo the fragile peace Raya worked so hard to secure. Zara, a former scholar from the Heart tribe, believes that the ancient magic that saved the world should not be limited to a few people, and she is determined to harness it for her own purposes—no matter the cost.

As the Drunn begin to return, with a more terrifying and evolved form, it’s up to Raya, Sisu, and her loyal companions to stop Zara and prevent the world from descending back into chaos. But the journey is complicated by the reappearance of old enemies, new alliances, and the revelation that not all dragons are as benevolent as Sisu.

Raya must confront her own doubts and fears, as well as learn that the only way to truly defeat evil is through trust and unity—not just between kingdoms, but between all beings, both human and dragon. With the help of Boun (Benedict Wong), Tuk Tuk (voiced by Alan Tudyk), and Namaari (Gemma Chan), her former rival turned ally, Raya embarks on a journey to unearth ancient dragon wisdom and seek out the long-lost Dragonstone—the key to saving the world once and for all

THE GRINCH 2 (2025)
Genre: Animation, Family, Comedy, Holiday
Starring: Benedict Cumberbatch, Pharrell Williams, Rashida Jones, Kenan Thompson, Angela Lansbury

Plot:

THE GRINCH 2 picks up a few years after the Grinch (voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch) had his heart grow three sizes and learned the true meaning of Christmas. He’s now a changed figure in Whoville, known as the “Grinch Who Gave Back” after his redemption arc and efforts to make amends for his past misdeeds. However, peace and goodwill are once again put to the test when a new holiday threat emerges that could undo everything the Grinch has worked for.

When a mysterious figure, The Ice Queen (voiced by Rashida Jones), arrives in Whoville, she introduces a new holiday tradition—Frostmas, a holiday based on icy perfection, strict rules, and total control. Unlike Christmas, Frostmas is all about order and no mess—no mess means no joy, no warmth, and definitely no fun. As Frostmas quickly becomes more popular in Whoville, the Grinch realizes that the true spirit of Christmas is being lost, and the town is beginning to lose its joy.

Determined to reclaim the holiday spirit, the Grinch teams up with Cindy Lou Who (Kenan Thompson), now a spirited young adult with her own family, and Max (the loyal dog), to take on the cold-hearted Ice Queen. But the Grinch finds that even with all his love for Christmas, the spirit of giving isn’t enough to combat the icy grip of the new holiday. Alongside Cindy Lou and a few lovable misfit characters from Whoville, the Grinch must once again prove that the heart of Christmas is something that can’t be frozen—no matter how cold it gets.

But as the Grinch faces off against the Ice Queen’s frosty powers, he realizes that he might need to learn a few lessons about himself—and that perhaps there’s more than one way to celebrate the season
