4-YEAR-OLD BOY WITH RARE HIGH-RISK NEUROBLASTOMA AS FAMILY CHERISHES EVERY PRECIOUS MOMENT TOGETHER AND PREPARING TO SAY GOODBYE

What began as every parent’s worst nightmare has become an unimaginable journey for one Kentucky family as they prepare to cherish every remaining moment with their 4-year-old son.

Rowan Beasley was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma, a rare and aggressive childhood cancer, on Nov. 7, after his parents noticed he suddenly struggled to stand and walk. Just days earlier, he had been running through the house, laughing and asking his mother to dance with him. Then, almost overnight, everything changed.

Doctors discovered a rapidly growing tumor and immediately began an intensive treatment plan that included chemotherapy, surgery, radiation and immunotherapy. Despite months of challenging treatments, Rowan’s condition continued to worsen.

Now, the family says there are no remaining curative treatment options.

According to an update shared through the family’s fundraiser, the cancer has spread to Rowan’s brain, and his care has shifted from active treatment to keeping him as comfortable as possible. Hospice is now providing around-the-clock support, with pain medication administered every four hours as his parents treasure every remaining moment with their little boy.

The fundraiser’s most recent GoFundMe update, posted July 5, says the family is living through an incredibly difficult waiting period.

“It is still just a waiting game on when Rowan will pass,” the update reads. “He is being monitored by hospice and on a pain management schedule every four hours. He needs around-the-clock care.”

Throughout Rowan’s journey, his mother, Charlie Beasley, has openly shared both the difficult moments and the small victories. During treatment, she celebrated milestones many parents take for granted, including watching Rowan gain weight after months of illness.

The family’s story has touched thousands across Kentucky and beyond, inspiring an outpouring of prayers, donations and messages of support from complete strangers. Community members have helped ease the financial burden as Rowan’s parents remained by his side through months of hospital stays, treatments and now hospice care.

As they prepare for the days ahead, the Beasley family is asking for continued prayers—not for a miracle cure, but for Rowan’s comfort, peace and relief from pain.
