Little Nasser Al-Khatib is less than two weeks old — but already, he is facing a frightening medical battle no newborn should have to endure.

Soon after his birth, doctors discovered a large cystic mass on the right side of his neck. What initially seemed like an unusual swelling was found to be a cystic hygroma, also known as a lymphatic malformation.

The mass has grown large enough to put pressure on Nasser’s trachea, making it increasingly difficult for the tiny baby to breathe.

Doctors have warned his family that his condition is extremely serious and could worsen unexpectedly. With his airway being compressed, Nasser urgently needs specialized medical care.

His doctors have recommended that he be transferred to a specialist medical center, where he can receive sclerotherapy, an injection treatment used to help reduce the abnormal lymphatic mass.

For Nasser’s family, every moment has become precious.

Instead of bringing their newborn home and beginning the quiet routines of family life, they have found themselves watching their tiny son closely, hoping each breath will become easier.

“We just want our baby to have the chance to breathe comfortably and grow up like any other child,” his family shared. “Seeing him struggle is heartbreaking, but we are holding on to hope and believing that treatment can give him a better future.”

The journey has been filled with fear and uncertainty, but Nasser’s family continues to stand beside him through every examination and every difficult moment.

“He is so little, yet he has already shown us how strong he can be,” they said. “We are praying that he can receive the specialized treatment he needs and come through this safely.”

For now, Nasser remains at the center of his family’s hopes and prayers.
