Plot:
Mavka 2 continues the enchanting story of the forest spirit, Mavka, as she grapples with her newfound responsibilities in both the mystical world of the forest and the human world. After her victory in the first film, Mavka (voiced by Anastasia Tsvetaeva) is more determined than ever to protect the ancient woods she calls home. But the peace she fought for is threatened once again when a dark force begins to invade the forest, corrupting the trees, plants, and animals with dark magic.

A mysterious sorcerer named Volkan (voiced by Tom Hiddleston) seeks to harness the forest’s magic for his own gain. He believes that Mavka holds the key to unlocking the ultimate power of the forest, and he will stop at nothing to control it. Volkan’s plans are more dangerous than anything Mavka has encountered before, as he uses forbidden magic to manipulate the natural world, turning Mavka’s beloved forest into a twisted, shadowy place.

Mavka’s world becomes further complicated when a human prince, Ivan (voiced by Vladislav Dmytrenko), arrives in the forest, seeking help for his kingdom, which is suffering from a terrible drought. Unbeknownst to him, his arrival in the forest is tied to the awakening of Volkan’s dark magic, and soon Mavka must navigate her feelings for the prince while also protecting the forest from destruction.

With the help of her loyal companions—the playful but wise forest creatures and a group of fellow nature spirits—Mavka journeys deep into the heart of the forest to confront Volkan and stop his dark reign before it’s too late.
