ZACK SNYDER’S JUSTICE LEAGUE — PART 2 (2026)

Zack Snyder’s Justice League — Part 2 is often imagined by fans as the continuation of the epic storyline that began with Zack Snyder’s Justice League (2021). In Snyder’s original plan for the DC saga, the sequel would push the heroes into a much darker war against the cosmic tyrant Darkseid, leading to a catastrophic future known as the “Knightmare” timeline.
The story would have followed Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Flash, and Cyborg as they prepare for Darkseid’s invasion of Earth. After discovering the Anti-Life Equation hidden on the planet, Darkseid launches a massive assault, forcing the Justice League into their most dangerous battle yet. The conflict would escalate into a world-ending war where alliances break, sacrifices are made, and the fate of humanity hangs in the balance.
One of the central ideas behind the sequel is the “Knightmare” future briefly teased at the end of Snyder’s cut. In this timeline, Darkseid conquers Earth and corrupts Superman using the Anti-Life Equation. Batman leads a desperate resistance with a small group of survivors, trying to change the timeline and prevent the apocalypse.
Visually, the sequel would likely continue Snyder’s signature style—large-scale mythology, slow-motion battle sequences, and a darker, more operatic tone compared to traditional superhero films. The film would also deepen the emotional conflicts between the heroes, particularly Batman’s mission to redeem himself and Superman’s role as humanity’s ultimate protector.
However, it’s important to note that Justice League Part 2 has never been officially produced or announced by Warner Bros. Many trailers and posters online are fan-made concepts imagining how Snyder’s unfinished story might continue.
