EIGHT-MONTH-OLD MARIA PRINCESS FACES URGENT SURGERY AS AQUEDUCTAL STENOSIS CAUSES FLUID TO BUILD UP IN HER BRAIN

Eight-month-old Maria Princess is facing an urgent medical journey after being diagnosed with aqueductal stenosis, a condition that can cause hydrocephalus by preventing the normal flow of fluid within the brain.

For Maria’s parents, what should have been a joyful time watching their little girl grow has instead become a constant fight to find the medical care she needs.

Fluid is continuing to build up in Maria’s head, and doctors say she urgently needs surgery to place a shunt to help drain the excess fluid. Before the procedure can take place, she also needs an MRI to give doctors a clearer picture of her condition and check for any additional diagnoses.

Every day has become a source of worry for her family.

Maria’s father works as a technician, but the pandemic caused him to lose a significant amount of income. With the cost of the MRI, shunt and surgery becoming increasingly difficult to manage, her parents are desperately searching for help.

“We just want our little girl to have the chance to grow up healthy,” her family shared. “Watching her go through this is incredibly difficult, but we cannot stop fighting for her.”

Despite everything she is facing at just eight months old, Maria remains surrounded by the love of her parents, who continue to hope that the treatment she needs will soon become possible.

“We are doing everything we can for Maria,” her family said. “We are asking for help because every contribution brings us one step closer to getting her the care she needs.”

For this young family, the goal is simple: to get Maria through her MRI and surgery and give their precious daughter the opportunity to move forward.

Her parents are now hoping that compassionate supporters will help them reach the funds needed for Maria’s medical care — and give this little girl a chance at a healthier future.
