Gentry Garrett was born with Left Hypoplastic Heart Syndrome, a rare heart condition that has required continuous medical care since infancy and shaped much of his early childhood.

While many children his age were taking their first steps on playgrounds, Gentry was spending time in hospital rooms, undergoing procedures that demanded endurance well beyond his years.
