Heartbreaking Story of a Young Boy Battling a Severe Condition That Changed His Fragile Body

Visiting little Nhoi, everyone couldn’t help but feel sad to see the boy lying in a coma on the hospital bed, his whole body was thin, his limbs were like a stick, and his stomach was swollen like a drum…. My life is rushing every day to the point of heartache!
Baby Tran Van Kiem born in 2010. I remember that I was born healthy like many other children, but everything changed when I just finished grade 1 (in 2017) and often had abdominal pain. Then the baby’s belly gradually swelled up like a drum, his body ached, making him cry all day.
Worried about her child, but because of the poor family conditions, she has just had a small child, Tran Thi Ngoc Huong (born in 2012), so Ms. Nuong can only take her child to the district hospital for treatment.

Although the tumor was surgically removed, it continued to metastasize, and a new tumor swelled, causing Nhieu’s abdomen to swell
During 1 week here, the doctors could only help the baby reduce pain and treat fever symptoms, diagnoses related to digestion were ineffective, the baby’s abdomen was still enlarged, so the district hospital suggested that the family transfer to the upper line.
After a few days of hesitation, Ms. Nuong decided to discuss with her husband to take her child to Children’s Hospital 1 in Ho Chi Minh City for treatment. After testing, doctors determined that baby Nhi had neuroblastoma, forming many tumors in the peritoneum that compressed internal organs, causing her abdomen to swell.

Loving their child, Ms. Nuong and her husband had to sell their fields and mortgage their house to have money for their child’s treatment for 2 years
Hearing the bad news, Ms. Nuong burst into tears right at the hospital. She choked up: “When I got sick, there were only a few days when I went from a fat, plump child to a skeleton, all day long complaining of pain and struggle…”.
After the extreme pain, the mother bit her teeth again with her husband and sold the fields that the couple had saved for ten years to buy to get money for their child’s treatment. Then the wife took the eldest child (little Nhoi) to the Oncology Institute for treatment, while the husband hugged the 5-year-old child back to his hometown to work as a hired hand to earn money to “support” his wife.
Every time she is healthy, Remember asks to go home to play with her brother and her little dog

Memory’s house is a small hut in the middle of the field, there is no electricity, so you have to use batteries and oil lamps
However, more than 4 fields per rice season in a remote border commune is only enough for Ms. Nuong to spend and treat her child for 1 year. By the end of 2018, almost every month, she sent Mr. Kiet at home to go around the village to borrow money, run to find each relative to borrow 1-2 million VND each… Then when the time came when I couldn’t borrow anymore, I had to mortgage the whole tattered house that the whole family was living in, and then borrow hot outside…
But seeing her child in pain every day, having to rely on painkiller injections, she did not dare to think about bringing her child back to watch him writhing in pain but she was helpless. She still searches in her memory for anyone she knows that she hasn’t talked to. Even though I know that everyone who knows me is annoyed and doesn’t want to lend it…

Watching her child in pain every day, Ms. Nuong is helpless
She looked at baby Remember with only skin and bones still in her body, hugging her chest and coughing bitterly: “Look, I am in pain every day, so why do I dare to bring him back, and then he hurts, I know how… I am more embarrassed, I also have to beg and borrow from people, I also bear it, but look at me like that, how can I bear it, brother!”
But now, even if she accepts the prostration and begs, she has no acquaintance who has never borrowed… But Remember, 1 day is indispensable for medicine to relieve pain and find fragile hope…

Now, Ms. Nuong can only hope for everyone’s kindness to save her child
