14-Year-Old Student in Urgent Need of Medical Care After Serious Fall

Nurhapidin was only 14 years old when his life took an unexpected and painful turn.
A junior high school student known by teachers and neighbors as obedient, diligent, and full of enthusiasm, Nurhapidin had just begun a new chapter of his life. Only two months into junior high school, he was filled with hope and dreams, determined to study hard and make his parents proud.
That hope began to fade after an accident no one in his family could have imagined.

One day, Nurhapidin fell from a tree approximately four meters high. His hand struck the ground with great force. At first, the injury did not seem serious — only a small bruise appeared on his left arm. Believing it was a normal swelling, the family did not seek further medical attention.
However, instead of improving, the condition grew worse with time. The swelling increased, and the pain intensified day by day, spreading throughout his body. When Nurhapidin was finally examined by medical professionals, doctors warned that his condition had already become extremely serious and required urgent attention.

According to the family, Nurhapidin now lives in constant discomfort. He is unable to walk normally, cannot lie on his back, and struggles to rest. Most of his time is spent sitting on his knees, enduring continuous pain. Inside their modest home, the sound most often heard is Nurhapidin’s groans as he tries to cope with his condition.
“As a father, I feel helpless,” said Pak Agus, Nurhapidin’s father. “I would do anything if it meant my son could feel better. Seeing him like this every day breaks my heart.”
Pak Agus has tried everything within his means to help his son. He has borrowed money from neighbors, relatives, and informal lenders, hoping to afford treatment that could prevent the condition from worsening. Many of his efforts, however, have ended without success.
“We never imagined something small could turn into something this serious,” Pak Agus added quietly. “If we had known earlier, we would have taken him to the hospital immediately.”

Nurhapidin’s parents, Pak Agus and his wife, Mrs. Dedeh, earn a living by selling fried baso in front of their home. On a good day, their income reaches around IDR 40,000. On many days, they earn nothing at all. With such limited resources, the cost of medical care remains far beyond their reach.
Despite their struggles, the family continues to hold on to hope.
“Our son still wants to go to school,” Mrs. Dedeh shared. “He asks when he will be able to sit in class again. That’s what keeps us going.”
Medical professionals have emphasized that Nurhapidin needs immediate and proper treatment to prevent further complications and protect his well-being. Each delay increases the risks to his health and future.
Nurhapidin’s story highlights the difficult reality faced by many families who lack access to timely medical care. A promising young student with dreams for the future now waits in pain, hoping for help that could give him a chance to recover and return to a normal life.
