Savannah Guthrie’s Plea: “It’s Not Too Late”

Amid one of the most painful chapters of her life, Savannah Guthrie released an emotional video message directed at the person believed to be responsible for her mother Nancy’s disappearance.
Eighty-four-year-old Nancy has not been seen since January 31. As the case enters its second week, uncertainty continues to weigh heavily on her family. In the newly posted video, Savannah speaks calmly but with unmistakable urgency.
“I wanted to say to whoever has her, or who knows where she is, that it’s never too late,” she says. “You’re not lost, or alone, and it is never too late to do the right thing.”

She emphasizes that her family is holding on to hope — not only hope for Nancy’s safe return, but belief in what she calls “the essential goodness of every human being.”
Savannah remains in Tucson, Arizona, stepping away from her role on Today for the foreseeable future as the search continues. According to sources at NBC, colleagues across the network are rallying around her in support during this unimaginable time.

On Sunday, investigators announced a significant development. A spokesperson for the Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed that a glove recovered during the search matches the one worn by a suspect seen in surveillance footage. The glove reportedly contains DNA evidence and differs from other items found at the scene.

Authorities are awaiting final lab results before uploading the DNA profile into a national database in hopes of identifying the individual connected to it.
Additional gloves were discovered in the Catalina Foothills area, approximately two miles from Nancy’s home, further intensifying investigative efforts.

While official details remain limited, the case has now entered a critical phase. For Savannah and her family, every development brings both tension and fragile hope.
Her message remains simple — and deeply human:
It’s never too late to do the right thing.
