BREAKING NEWS: Iran Made ‘Last-Ditch Effort’ to Advance Nuclear Program, Resistance Official Claims
An Iranian opposition official has claimed that Tehran was pursuing a “last-ditch effort” to advance its nuclear program before recent U.S. and Israeli strikes targeted key facilities and leadership sites.
Alireza Jafarzadeh, a representative of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, said the regime accelerated nuclear activities amid growing military pressure and internal instability, arguing leaders saw nuclear capability as a final means of survival.
Western governments have long accused Iran of seeking nuclear weapons, while Tehran repeatedly insists its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes and denies any intention to build an atomic bomb.
The claims come as tensions escalate across the Middle East, with analysts warning that disputes over Iran’s nuclear ambitions remain a central driver of the ongoing conflict.
