THREE-MONTH-OLD CHARLOTTE BORN WITH HOLT-ORAM SYNDROME HAS JUST NINE FINGERS AND A SMILE THAT’S WINNING HEARTS

A cheerful three-month-old baby is winning hearts after her family shared her inspiring journey living with a rare genetic condition.
Little Charlotte was born with Holt-Oram Syndrome, an uncommon disorder that affects the development of the upper limbs and can sometimes be associated with heart abnormalities.

In Charlotte’s case, she was born without both radial bones and is also missing the ulna bone in her left arm. She has nine fingers instead of ten — a difference her family chooses to face with remarkable positivity.
“She only has nine fingers, but ten fingers are overrated anyway,” her loved ones joked affectionately.
Despite the challenges she was born with, Charlotte has already shown the same curiosity, personality, and determination as any other baby her age.
At just three months old, she is growing, learning, and filling her family’s days with smiles.

While doctors continue to monitor her development and discuss what support she may need as she grows older, her parents say they are focused on celebrating every milestone rather than dwelling on what is missing.
“When we look at Charlotte, we don’t see limitations,” a family member shared. “We see a beautiful little girl with her whole life ahead of her.”
The family admits that learning about her condition was emotional at first, but Charlotte quickly taught them a powerful lesson about perspective.

“She’s happy, she’s loved, and she’s stronger than people realize,” they said. “Every day she reminds us that being different doesn’t make someone any less perfect.”
As Charlotte continues her journey, her family hopes her story will encourage others to look beyond appearances and see the child behind the diagnosis.
Because while she may have arrived in the world with fewer bones and one less finger than expected, she has more than enough courage, love, and determination to make up for it.
