THIS MOTHER HAD AN 𝙰𝙲𝙲𝙸𝙳𝙴𝙽𝚃 AND REFUSED TO TAKE PAINKILLERS; THE REASON WILL MOVE YOU

A devoted mother who tumbled down an entire flight of stairs says her biggest concern wasn’t her own injuries — it was making sure her baby boy didn’t miss a single feeding.

Australian mom Thamalia Muller Benjamin was rushed to hospital after falling down 12 steps, leaving her bruised, sore, and wearing a neck brace.

Rather than taking strong pain medication that could interfere with breastfeeding, Thamalia chose to endure the discomfort herself so she could continue feeding her son as normal.

Therefore, Thamalia, wearing a neck brace in her hospital bed, refused painkillers and asked that her son be allowed to sleep with her all night so she could feed him as usual. This mother reaffirmed the bond between her and her son during breastfeeding and the importance of routine.

“I’d rather feel the pain so he can eat.”

Fortunately, after spending a night in the hospital, this young Australian mother was discharged. And when she got home, she shared her story on an Instagram account dedicated to breastfeeding:

“I prefer to feel the pain so he can eat, especially since he should be asleep in his bed; the night before, I fell down 12 steps. Incredibly, I didn’t break a single bone, just some scrapes and bruises.”

“I was nervous when I arrived at the hospital because I knew my son hadn’t had his bottle that night. Fortunately, I was lucky enough to have excellent doctors and nurses who allowed my son to sleep with me all night. Here’s a picture of us while I’m breastfeeding with a neck brace. I feel so blessed after nine months of breastfeeding.”
