What Happened?

According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 7:30 p.m. on June 21 near the intersection of Representative John Lewis Way and Deaderick Street, close to the Tennessee Performing Arts Center.

When officers arrived, they found Damarion suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. He was rushed to Vanderbilt University Medical Center but later died from his injuries.

According to investigators, Orr allegedly admitted to hiding the handgun used in the shooting inside a sewer after the incident. Detectives later recovered the firearm.

He has been charged with criminal homicide, and the case will proceed through the Davidson County court system. Authorities have not announced additional charges at this time.
