The Preston Davey case is drawing renewed attention after forensic evidence played a central role in challenging the first explanation given about the 13-month-old’s death.

Preston died in July 2023 after being placed with Jamie Varley and John McGowan-Fazakerley, the couple who were in the process of adopting him. At first, the public heard claims that his death was connected to a tragic bath accident. However, medical findings later raised serious doubts about that version of events.
