A 22-year-old woman has died in a tragic skydiving accident in the UK after her body was found in a farmer’s field.

Emergency services were called to Langar Airfield in Nottinghamshire at around 12:13pm on Sunday, July 5, 2026, following reports of the incident.
The woman was discovered in a nearby field and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her family has been notified and is being supported by specially trained officers. No one else was injured in the accident.


Nottinghamshire Police described the event as a “tragic accident” and are working with partners to establish the full circumstances. A file is being prepared for the Coroner.
Detective Inspector Rachel Mayfield said:
“This was a tragic incident, and we are working with partners to understand what happened. As our investigations continue at the scene, our thoughts are with the woman’s family and everyone else who has been affected by this incident.”
Nottinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service also attended the scene briefly to assist police.
