HOLLYWOOD — As fans continue mourning Hayden Panettiere, a longtime family friend who once described herself as the actress’ “second mother” is speaking about the pressures Panettiere faced from childhood.
Lynsey Lonberg, who knew Panettiere since she was young, said she believes the actress was exposed to the darker side of Hollywood far too early. She recalled Panettiere telling her that working on film sets exposed her to drugs and alcohol while she was still young.
FAME CAME BEFORE CHILDHOOD WAS OVER
Panettiere entered the entertainment industry as an infant and spent much of her childhood working in front of cameras.

Now, Lonberg says Panettiere’s father is facing the unimaginable loss of both of his children.

Her former partner Wladimir Klitschko has also paid tribute, emphasizing that their daughter Kaya should remember her mother for her talent and accomplishments—not only for the struggles that followed her through adulthood.
