Drag Racing Community Mourns Death of Street Outlaws Star Chris “Block” Gordon at 40

The drag racing community is mourning the death of Christopher “Chris” “Block” Gordon, a well-known racer who died following a crash during a race in southern Ohio.

Gordon, 40, was competing at KD Motorsports Park on the evening of August 22, 2026, when he crashed during the race. Rescue personnel and emergency medical crews responded and attempted to provide lifesaving treatment, but Gordon was pronounced dead at the scene.

Gordon was the owner of Block Motorsports and had gained recognition among racing fans through his appearances on the Discovery Channel series Street Outlaws: Fastest in America.
