TWO TEENAGE SIBLINGS VANISH FROM HOME AFTER FAMILY CAR DISAPPEARS — POLICE ISSUE URGENT APPEAL

HAYES, WEST LONDON — Police have launched an urgent search for two teenage siblings who disappeared from their home in west London and are believed to have left in a family member’s car.

Mukarma, 16, and Muhammed, 14, were reported missing on August 17 after family members discovered that the two children were no longer at the address in Hayes. Authorities say the siblings may have left their beds early that morning before disappearing.

What has particularly alarmed investigators is that a family vehicle also disappeared around the same time.

THE FAMILY CAR MAY HOLD THE KEY

Police believe the teenagers may have taken a white Toyota Prius, registration KR10 NTF, when they left.

The vehicle was reportedly spotted traveling west toward Beaconsfield at approximately 11:24 a.m. on August 17.

There have been no confirmed sightings of the car since.

Investigators are now asking motorists, residents and anyone who may have seen the Prius to come forward with information that could help establish where the teenagers went.

POLICE CALL THE SIBLINGS “EXTREMELY VULNERABLE”

Authorities say they are increasingly concerned about the teenagers’ welfare because of their ages and the amount of time they have been missing.

Police also believe they may have been driving without a license, adding another layer of concern to an already unusual disappearance.

Detective Sergeant Gary Walker, who is leading the investigation, said the situation has become critical and urged anyone who may have encountered the siblings to contact police.

Investigators are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have offered the teenagers assistance, transportation or accommodation since they disappeared.

Police have released descriptions of both siblings in the hope that members of the public may recognize them.

Mukarma, 16:

• Asian
• Slim build
• Long black hair, often worn in braids
• May be wearing a hijab

Muhammed, 14:

• Asian
• Slim build
• Shoulder-length black hair
• Often wears glasses

Their disappearance has prompted concerns that they could have traveled far from London.

Police have warned that they could potentially be anywhere in the country.

THE TIMELINE REMAINS A MAJOR QUESTION

Investigators know that the siblings were reported missing at around 9:28 a.m. on August 17.

The Toyota Prius was then reportedly seen heading west toward Beaconsfield at around 11:24 a.m.

But what happened after that sighting remains unclear.

There have been no confirmed sightings of either teenager or the vehicle since.

That leaves investigators facing a critical gap in the timeline.

Detective Sergeant Walker stressed that even information that appears insignificant could help investigators locate the siblings.

Authorities are particularly appealing to anyone who may have encountered the teenagers after August 17, including people who may have provided them with somewhere to stay.

Given the length of time they have been missing, police say the situation has now become increasingly urgent.

Anyone with information is being asked to contact police by calling 999 and quoting reference CAD 2117/17AUG.

There is currently no confirmed explanation for why the siblings left home or where they intended to go.

Police have not publicly suggested that they have been abducted, and the circumstances surrounding their disappearance remain under investigation.

For now, one question dominates the search: Where did Mukarma and Muhammed go after that white Prius was seen heading west — and who, if anyone, has helped them since?
