INLET, N.Y. — A desperate search is continuing for 73-year-old Craig K. Streeter, a New York man who has been missing for weeks after his recreational vehicle was discovered abandoned at a remote campsite in the Adirondacks.
Streeter, of Mahopac, was last seen on August 2, 2026, at a Stewart’s Shop in Indian Lake.
He was traveling in his RV and was wearing a dark-colored long-sleeved shirt and jeans.
That was the last confirmed sighting of him.
THEN HIS RV WAS FOUND
The mystery deepened when New York State Forest Rangers located Streeter’s RV at campsite 36 on Moose River Road in the town of Inlet.
The vehicle was still there.
But Streeter was nowhere to be found.
Authorities searched the surrounding area but were unable to locate him, prompting multiple agencies to join the effort.
The search remains active.
HE WAS KNOWN TO GO OFF THE GRID
According to New York State Police, Streeter frequently traveled and camped in remote areas.
Going without contact for a short period was reportedly not unusual for him.
But this disappearance has lasted for weeks.
That has raised serious concern among authorities and those who know him.
Investigators are now asking anyone who may have encountered Streeter while camping or traveling along Moose River Road or nearby remote areas to come forward.
