MISSING MAN VANISHED AFTER SPEAKING TO POLICE — THEN PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS FOUND HIM IN JUST HOURS

Conor Anderson had been missing for four days when his family made a decision that would change the search.

Less than five hours later, investigators found the 31-year-old in a heavily wooded area near James Robertson Parkway in Nashville.

Anderson told them he had given unknown men $20 after agreeing to let them show him around the neighborhood. He said the men took his money and later threatened him.

Police body-camera footage showed Anderson appearing disoriented and struggling to explain exactly where the encounter had occurred.

He declined to provide identification needed to make a formal report, and officers encouraged him to take a rideshare back to his hotel.

Then he disappeared.

FOUR DAYS WITH NO ANSWERS

Police began reviewing surveillance footage along with Anderson’s phone and financial records as investigators attempted to determine where he had gone.

His family, however, was still desperate for answers.

On August 20, a close family friend hired Covert Results, a Nashville private investigation firm.

The investigators immediately returned to Anderson’s last known location.

They canvassed businesses, reviewed available surveillance footage, mapped possible routes and spoke with people who regularly spent time in the surrounding area.

A CONVERSATION LED THEM TO A NEW LOCATION

One of the most important leads reportedly came from people living in or regularly spending time around the area.

Information provided by unhoused individuals helped investigators narrow their search toward James Robertson Parkway.

The team then searched a difficult-to-access wooded area near a parking lot.

After nearly an hour of searching, investigator Diana Hutson located Anderson shortly before 6 p.m.

His family had hired the investigators at approximately 1 p.m.

POLICE SAY THERE WERE NO IMMEDIATE SIGNS OF FOUL PLAY

Metro Nashville Police confirmed Anderson had been found and said there were no immediate indications of foul play.

The Medical Examiner is expected to determine his cause of death.

Authorities have not publicly released a definitive explanation for how Anderson ended up in the wooded area or what happened after his final interaction with police.
