Lionel Richie Hospitalized After Struggling During St. Louis Concert

Lionel Richie, 77, was hospitalized in St. Louis after experiencing difficulty during a concert at The Muny in Forest Park on the evening of August 29, 2026.

The legendary singer was performing when, toward the end of the show, he appeared to be struggling while singing “All Night Long.” Richie reportedly asked for a chair to be brought onto the stage, allowing him to complete the remainder of the performance while seated.

Admitted for Evaluation

Following the concert, Richie was taken to a hospital and admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU) for evaluation and monitoring.
