Family of 21-Year-Old Seizure Patient Shares Heartfelt Message as Community Support Grows

A family from the Birmingham area is expressing deep gratitude as messages of support continue to pour in for 21-year-old Hayden Stuart, who has been facing a difficult and unpredictable medical battle. Hayden, a 2023 graduate of McAdory High School, has been experiencing multiple seizures each day, sometimes as many as twelve, as doctors work to explore remaining treatment options.

Over the past week, the story of Hayden’s condition has reached a wide audience, prompting people from across the community—and even beyond—to offer advice, recommend specialists, and send words of encouragement. His family says the response has been overwhelming in the most meaningful way.

Hayden’s mother, Kristen Stuart, reached out to share a message for those who have offered support during one of the most challenging times of their lives. In her statement, she described the emotional toll of watching her son endure daily seizures, calling the experience “indescribable.” She spoke openly about the fear, uncertainty, and emotional strain the family has faced, but also emphasized the unexpected strength that has come from the kindness of others.

Kristen wrote:
“As a mother, walking through what we’re facing with Hayden has been absolutely indescribable. There have been pain, tears, fear, so many emotions I can’t even name. But I want to take a moment to highlight the silver lining: the unwavering love, support, and encouragement we’ve received from close friends, family, and even complete strangers.”

She added that every message, every prayer, and every suggestion has reached the family and offered comfort during their hardest moments.
“It has been overwhelming in the most humbling way. Whether you know me personally or not, please know that every message and every bit of advice has truly been the shining light on some of our darkest days.”
Kristen also expressed gratitude to the individuals who helped share Hayden’s story, saying their willingness to spread awareness has made a significant difference.
“From the bottom of my heart, on behalf of myself, Hayden, and our entire family: Thank you all.”

As the Stuarts continue navigating Hayden’s complex medical challenges, they say the unity and compassion shown by the community have provided strength they deeply needed. Their hope is that by sharing their journey, others facing similar struggles may find connection, visibility, and encouragement.
The family remains focused on Hayden’s care while holding onto the support network that has grown around them—one message at a time.
