FLIGHT INSTRUCTOR MUM AND HER TWO SONS, AGED 10 AND 13, KILLED IN HORROR PLANE CRASH — DAD FIGHTS FOR HIS LIFE

A mother who spent her life teaching others how to fly has died alongside her two young sons after a small plane crashed and burst into flames in California.

Danna Eady, 41, her 10-year-old son Pavel and her 13-year-old son Remus were killed in the devastating crash near Fresno on Saturday, September 5.

Her husband, Craig Eady, survived — but is now facing a long and painful recovery after suffering severe injuries and third-degree burns.

A FAMILY FLIGHT TURNS INTO TRAGEDY

Danna was piloting a single-engine Grumman American AA-5 after the family departed from Sierra Sky Park Airport.

But shortly after takeoff, the aircraft came down on a bluff overlooking the San Joaquin River and erupted into flames.

Emergency crews raced to the scene as firefighters battled the blaze.

According to reports, Danna and Craig were found outside the aircraft, while their two sons were discovered inside.

Pavel, 10, and Remus, 13, died at the scene.

Danna was pulled from the wreckage alive but suffered critical injuries. She was rushed to hospital, where she later died.

Craig was the only survivor.

He remains hospitalized with severe injuries, including third-degree burns, and faces what his family’s supporters describe as a long road of treatment and rehabilitation.

SHE LOVED FLYING

Danna wasn’t simply a passenger who happened to be at the controls.

She was an experienced certified flight instructor who taught students at Reedley College and had dreamed of becoming a commercial airline pilot.

Friends remembered her as someone who genuinely loved aviation.

Fellow flight instructor Nick Wilcox described Danna as a veteran instructor who had helped numerous students pursue their own dreams of becoming pilots.

“She loved flying. She died doing what she loved,” he said, according to reports.

Now, the students she once helped into the sky are mourning the woman who taught them how to fly.

TWO CHILDREN GONE — TWO OLDER SIBLINGS LEFT BEHIND

The tragedy has devastated the Eady family.

Danna and Craig also have two older children, Lucien, 17, and Felicity, 18.

They are now facing the unimaginable loss of their mother and their two younger brothers at the same time their father remains in hospital recovering from his injuries.

A support campaign launched by friends and family described the loss as “unimaginable” and said Craig is grieving his wife and two children while beginning a difficult medical recovery of his own.

The family is now facing not only emotional devastation but also mounting medical and household expenses.

WHAT CAUSED THE CRASH?

That question remains unanswered.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash, and no official cause has yet been established.

Authorities have not announced that mechanical failure, weather or pilot error caused the tragedy.

For now, investigators must piece together what happened during the short flight before the aircraft went down.
