LITTLE LARINHA HAS OSTEOGENESIS IMPERFECTA AND HAS SPENT ALMOST HER ENTIRE FIRST YEAR IN HOSPITAL, NOW FACING HYDROCEPHALUS AFTER ๐ฒ๐ช๐ด๐ซ๐ซ ๐ฅ๐ฑ๐ ๐ข๐ณ๐ด๐ฑ๐ค๐ฒ

Little Larinha has spent almost every day of her one-year life surrounded by hospital walls.
Born in Ribeirรฃo Preto, Sรฃo Paulo, she came into the world with fractures affecting her arms, skull and chest. Doctors diagnosed her with osteogenesis imperfecta, commonly known as brittle bone disease.

Since then, this tiny girl has faced countless difficult days. There have been long nights when sleep was hard to come by, moments of discomfort that left her parents worried, and one medical challenge after another. Yet Larinha has continued to hold on, showing a strength far beyond her tiny size.

Now, her family is facing another frightening chapter.
Larinhaโs head has become increasingly swollen, and doctors believe she may have developed hydrocephalus following fractures to her skull. Her condition has become increasingly complex, and remaining in hospital is no longer considered a sustainable option.

Her mother Fernanda gave up her career as a hairdresser to dedicate herself entirely to her daughter, while her father Edson works as a production assistant to support the family.

Doctors have given the family a deeply difficult prognosis. But Fernanda and Edson are still holding on to one simple wish: to bring their little girl home.
A room is ready for Larinha, and her four-year-old sister is waiting to have her beside her.

But before that can happen, Larinha needs a Trilogy mechanical ventilator, costing around 65,000 Brazilian reais, so she can receive the necessary respiratory support at home.

โWe have spent so long beside her hospital bed,โ her family shared. โAll we want now is for Larinha to feel the comfort of home, surrounded by the people who love her.โ

After a year of hospital rooms, difficult nights and countless medical challenges, her family hopes the next place Larinha wakes up will finally be her own home.
