KIRSTIE ALLSOPP RUSHED TO HOSPITAL AFTER HORRIFIC BEACH FALL — LIFEBOAT PARAMEDICS CALLED TO RESCUE

The “Location, Location, Location” presenter was airlifted to hospital after a birthday beach outing took a terrifying turn, requiring emergency surgery on her leg.

TV presenter Kirstie Allsopp has revealed how a relaxing birthday celebration turned into a frightening medical emergency after she slipped on a muddy coastal path in Devon.

The 55-year-old Location, Location, Location star was celebrating her birthday with family at Welcombe Mouth beach when she fell while making her way back from the beach.

What followed was a major rescue operation involving lifeboat paramedics and an air ambulance.

HER SON RAN FOR HELP

Allsopp said her 18-year-old son, Oscar, ran “as fast as he could” to get help after she was unable to safely make her way from the steep path.

The RNLI Bude Lifeboat paramedics and Cornwall Air Ambulance were then involved in locating and rescuing her from the difficult-to-reach area.

Photos shared by Allsopp showed her lying in the back of an ambulance with medical equipment attached to her face, while another image showed her injured leg in a cast.

EMERGENCY SURGERY FOLLOWED

Allsopp was taken to Barnstaple Hospital, where doctors operated on her injured leg.

She later said the hospital staff had been “amazing, kind & caring” and expressed how fortunate she felt that rescuers had been able to reach her so quickly.

She is expected to spend part of her recovery using a boot and crutches.

Despite the frightening ordeal, Allsopp remained grateful to the emergency crews who helped her.

She also admitted that the large amount of pain medication she received meant she failed to get the names or social-media details of everyone involved in her rescue.

“I FEEL VERY, VERY LUCKY”

A week after undergoing surgery, Allsopp gave fans another update on her condition.

She said she was beginning to regain feeling in her toes and leg while continuing to rest and recover.

She even joked that her injured leg looked as though it had been “bitten by a shark,” while describing the recovery process as an exercise in patience and humility.

Despite the injury, she has remained determined to continue working. Reports say filming for her upcoming Channel 4 Christmas programme is still expected to go ahead, with arrangements being made so she can present while seated and keep her injured leg supported.

For Allsopp, what began as a birthday tradition with her family became an experience she is unlikely to forget — and one that left her deeply grateful to the rescuers and medical teams who came to her aid.
