Before she was even born, Charlotte Whiting’s journey was defined by extraordinary medical hurdles. At just 20 weeks into the pregnancy, her parents received the heartbreaking news that their unborn baby was facing multiple complex, life-threatening health challenges. Born around 37 weeks, Charlotte was immediately transferred to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where she would spend the first 72 critical days of her life hooked up to monitors and fighting for survival.

Just one month later, medical teams performed another complex procedure to address a severe liver cyst and reconstruct a significant portion of her digestive system. By the age of six, Charlotte has endured a mind-boggling total of 18 operations, facing continuous hospital admissions, painful recoveries, and uncertainty that most adults could scarcely imagine. Each procedure has presented its own set of risks, yet her resilience has never wavered.
