FOUR-YEAR-OLD GIRL DIES AFTER BEING FOUND UPSIDE DOWN IN WATER-FILLED BIN AT GEORGIA HOME

A four-year-old Georgia girl has died after she was found unresponsive inside a large trash bin filled with water and fish at a home in Macon.

Jayde Wooten was discovered at a home on Rocky Creek Road on Saturday, September 19, after her father returned home and realized she was missing.

According to an incident report obtained by local media, Jayde’s father searched through the house and outside the property before hearing her mother scream.

He rushed back inside and found the little girl upside down inside a large container filled with water and fish in a bathroom.

Her father pulled Jayde from the container and carried her outside for help.

Neighbors then rushed to assist and performed CPR while waiting for emergency responders, according to the report.

Bibb County deputies were called to the 1200 block of Rocky Creek Road shortly before 2 p.m. following a report of a medical emergency.

Deputies provided assistance until firefighters and paramedics arrived. Jayde was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office later identified the child as Jayde Wooten, but officials have not released a cause of death.

An autopsy was still pending, according to PEOPLE, and authorities have not publicly explained how Jayde ended up inside the water-filled container.

The investigation remains ongoing.

A GoFundMe fundraiser has since been created to help Jayde’s parents with funeral expenses and other costs following the devastating loss.

The case has left the family facing unanswered questions as investigators continue working to establish exactly what happened inside the home.

For now, authorities have not announced any arrests or publicly indicated that anyone has been charged in connection with Jayde’s death.
