UNSOLVED MYSTERY: THE DISAPPEARANCE OF PAULA AND BRANDON WADE

Twenty-four years ago, a young mother and her three-year-old son vanished without a trace from Valdosta, Georgia. Paula Ann Wade, 25, was last seen leaving her job at Sam’s Club on Saturday, October 12, 2002. She was actively preparing to transfer to a Florida store to be closer to her family. Concern arose when she missed her routine Sunday call with her parents and failed to report for work on Monday morning.

When a supervisor arranged a welfare check, authorities located Paula’s Chevrolet Blazer parked outside her apartment. The vehicle remained intact, with no signs of struggle or displacement. The only item missing, besides Paula and her son Brandon, was his child car seat. At the time of their disappearance, Paula’s husband was serving in the military in South Carolina, five hours away; investigators thoroughly verified his whereabouts and officially ruled him out as a person of interest.

Despite extensive efforts, no confirmed explanation or evidence regarding their whereabouts has ever surfaced. In 2024, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children partnered with local law enforcement to broadcast age-progressed images of Paula and Brandon across 2,800 gas station digital screens in Georgia and Florida, aiming to spark new leads.

Today, Brandon would be 27 years old, and Paula would be turning 50. Their family continues to seek answers as tips periodically arrive. Both Paula and Brandon remain missing, leaving behind an agonizing search for truth that spans more than two decades.
