HEARTBREAK IN MANCHESTER: ALISHA SAMUELS, 26, DIES AFTER FATAL STABBING AS POLICE HUNT THOSE RESPONSIBLE
A young woman’s life has been cut short, a family is grieving, and detectives are appealing for vital information as a major murder investigation continues in Manchester.
Our thoughts are with the family and loved ones of Alisha Samuels, 26, following her tragic death in north Manchester.
Police were called to Dorking Avenue in the Newton Heath area at around 2 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2026, after reports of a disturbance. Officers arrived to find Alisha suffering from serious injuries consistent with a stabbing. Despite the emergency response, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her death has prompted a major investigation by Greater Manchester Police, with detectives working to establish exactly what happened and identify everyone believed to have been involved.
THREE PEOPLE ARRESTED AS INVESTIGATION CONTINUES
In the initial stages of the investigation, three people were arrested. A 25-year-old man was detained on suspicion of murder, while a 61-year-old man and a 38-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
However, police later confirmed an important development: the 25-year-old man is no longer being treated as a murder suspect and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries into other matters.
Detectives have stressed that the investigation remains active. They are continuing to pursue outstanding individuals believed to have been involved and are urging the public not to speculate about the circumstances surrounding Alisha’s death.
WITNESSES URGED TO COME FORWARD
The incident prompted a significant police presence in the neighbourhood, with several areas cordoned off as officers carried out enquiries and forensic work.
Investigators are particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have witnessed events in the early hours of October 15. Mobile phone recordings, CCTV footage and doorbell camera footage could all prove important in helping detectives piece together what happened.
Greater Manchester Police have also appealed for people to share even seemingly minor details that might assist the investigation.

As detectives continue their work, Alisha’s family is dealing with the devastating loss of a loved one. The family has asked for privacy as they grieve.
For those closest to her, the focus now is on mourning Alisha and seeking answers about the circumstances that led to her death.
