RUTH LANGSFORD’S HEARTBREAKING GOODBYE TO MAGGIE AFTER 15 YEARS OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE

The beloved presenter has shared the sad news that her rescue dog has passed away peacefully at the age of 16, leaving behind years of cherished family memories.

For Ruth Langsford, saying goodbye to Maggie means saying goodbye to a beloved companion who brought comfort, happiness and unconditional love into her life for 15 unforgettable years.

The Loose Women presenter announced Maggie’s passing on Instagram on October 14, sharing a photograph of her much-loved dog and a deeply emotional tribute. Ruth revealed that Maggie was 16 and that her passing was peaceful, with her loved ones beside her until the very end.

Ruth and her then-husband, broadcaster Eamonn Holmes, adopted Maggie from a Dogs Trust rescue centre in 2011, when she was around a year old. The border collie cross soon became a treasured member of their household, appearing in family moments and frequently featuring in Ruth’s social media posts.

Over the years, Maggie was more than just a pet. She was a familiar presence through everyday routines, quiet moments at home and the many changes life brought. Even after Ruth and Eamonn announced their separation in 2024, both continued to share a special bond with the dog they had welcomed into their family together.
