Saudi Arabia says it intercepted 2 drones over ‘Empty Quarter’ targeting energy infrastructure
Saudi Arabia said it intercepted two drones moving toward an oil field Tuesday.
The Saudi Defense Ministry said the drones were intercepted in Empty Quarter, or Rub’ al Khali, a desert encompassing most of the southern third of the Arabian Peninsula.
The drones were headed toward the Shaybah oil field, the ministry said.
