ONCE HIDING FROM THE WORLD, A GIRL WITH CYSTIC HYGROMA NOW USES MAKEUP TO REDEFINE BEAUTY AND INSPIRE MILLIONS

Once self-conscious and constantly trying to avoid those around her, this American girl with a disfigured face has now become a world-renowned beauty vlogger.

Due to cystic hygroma, Marimar Quiroa (21 years old) from California, USA, was born with a deformed face, unable to eat, drink, or speak normally.

Undeterred by her difficult circumstances, Marimar rose up strongly and inspired millions around the world with her makeup and beauty tutorial vlogs.

Sharing with the press, Marimar said, “For me, beauty is about accepting yourself and ignoring what others say. You can shine with your own beauty even if you have a different face.”

It is known that throughout her pregnancy, Marimar’s mother was unaware that her daughter suffered from cystic hygroma. It wasn’t until her child was born that she was heartbroken to see her baby’s unusual face.

“The disease affected my mouth from birth. Before that, my face and head were also much larger. However, after undergoing surgeries for many years, I finally have the face you see now,” Marimar said.

“I can’t speak; I have to breathe through a small hole in my throat and eat through a tube in my stomach. Also, my right ear is deaf,” Marimar added.

Having endured such painful early years, Marimar has now bravely stood up and inspired others to overcome difficulties and insecurities.

“Before, I used to talk to myself in the mirror. I always told myself that I was beautiful. I encouraged myself and pointed out all the best things about myself, and that helped me confidently overcome all obstacles.”

Sharing about why she’s passionate about makeup and wants to become a beauty vlogger, Marimar said, “What I love about makeup is being able to imagine new looks and show people how beautiful they can be, no matter what they look like.”

Marimar has always been passionate about makeup, and by chance, she started her own vlog. She never imagined that this decision would lead her life to a colorful and successful new chapter, with her vlogs attracting more and more views each day.

Currently, each of Marimar’s vlogs typically attracts over 5 million views and countless messages from women she inspires. Despite this, Marimar still receives malicious comments from some online users. “They say I look like a monkey and my mouth is ugly,” Marimar said.

Although she doesn’t know what else the terrible disease will take from her, Marimar still dreams and has big plans for the future. “I hope to get married someday, have my own cosmetics line, travel, and share my makeup and life experiences with people all over the world.”

“No matter how you look or how ugly you feel about your body, accept it, accept your shape. That will help you overcome everything,” Marimar said.
