Bond Girl Eva Green Rushed to Hospital After Terrifying Leg Injury on the Set of Netflix’s Wednesday

Eva Green, the iconic French actress best known for her role as Vesper Lynd opposite Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, was rushed to hospital after suffering a leg injury during filming of the third season of Netflix’s smash-hit series Wednesday.

According to sources, the 45-year-old actress sustained the injury in a nasty accident on set near Dublin, Ireland, where production for the new season is currently underway. Medics were immediately called to the scene, and Eva was taken to hospital for treatment. Production was temporarily halted while she received care.

A source told The Sun: “This was really nasty. Eva sustained an injury and was clearly in pain and producers were taking no chances. Medics were called and Eva went to hospital. She underwent treatment and is now recovering well.”

Eva Green is making her debut in the Addams Family spin-off as Aunt Ophelia, the mysterious and troubled sister of Morticia Addams (played by Catherine Zeta-Jones). Her character’s arrival was teased at the end of the previous season, with a chilling scene showing her scrawling “Wednesday must die” on a wall.

The actress had previously expressed her excitement about joining the show, saying: “I can’t wait to bring my own touch of cuckoo-ness to the Addams Family. This show is such a deliciously dark and witty world.”

Wednesday, starring Jenna Ortega in the title role and directed in part by Tim Burton, became Netflix’s most popular English-language series and remains one of the streamer’s biggest global hits. Filming for Season 3 is a major production, with each episode reportedly costing around £15 million.

Eva Green is said to be recovering well, and there are no reports of long-term issues from the injury.
