Since his bone marrow biopsy, Alex has been showing signs of pain, and it has been heartbreaking to see him uncomfortable and hear him hurting. As parents, watching your child go through moments like this is never easy. We have been taking things one step at a time, and thankfully, it seems like the team has finally gotten his pain under control.

But we also have some truly amazing news to share:

Alex’s bone marrow biopsy results came back NEGATIVE!

Praise God for this answered prayer. This was the news we had been hoping for, and we are so grateful.

Right now, our little warrior still has another hurdle to get through before we can think about going home. He has been on TPN for 3 days now, giving his body the nutrition and support it needs while he rests and heals. On Monday, the plan is to slowly try reintroducing his feeds and see how well he tolerates them.

We are praying his body responds well, that his pain stays controlled, and that everything continues moving in the right direction. If all goes well, we are hopeful that Alex may be able to come home sometime next week.
