Sickening moment British tourist, 67, is mugged and left for dead in Benidorm in broad daylight attack – as two arrested

Harrowing footage has emerged showing the brutal mugging of a 67-year-old British tourist in Benidorm, Spain, in a shocking broad-daylight assault.
The incident occurred around 7am on June 28 outside the Hotel Agir. Video captured the moment the victim was punched hard in the face, causing him to collapse to the ground. His attacker then repeatedly kicked him before callously rifling through his pockets and stealing his wallet while the man lay motionless and unconscious on the pavement. The assailant then fled, leaving the tourist for dead.

Passers-by and emergency services later assisted the victim, who suffered superficial injuries. He received hospital treatment and was discharged to recover at home.
Spanish National Police arrested two suspects — men aged 19 and 21, believed to be Romanian brothers with prior police records — in connection with the attack. They were charged with violent robbery, theft, and assault causing bodily harm.
Just an hour after the tourist attack, the same pair allegedly struck again, sneaking up behind a woman and violently stealing her handbag. Members of the public chased them down, recovered the bag, and helped detain the suspects until police arrived.

The two men appeared in court in Benidorm on June 30. It is unclear whether they remain in custody or have been released on bail.
This disturbing incident has highlighted ongoing safety concerns for tourists in popular Spanish holiday resorts. It comes shortly after the tragic death of an 88-year-old British man who was mugged in Tenerife last month.
Warning: The footage of the attack is graphic and distressing.
