Tallulah Willis and Justin Acee could have chosen almost anywhere to begin their married life. Instead, they returned to a place already woven through Tallulah’s story: the family home in Hailey, Idaho, where she spent part of her childhood.

On August 8, 2026, the writer, artist, and advocate married musician Justin Acee in the backyard of the property, surrounded by family, friends, trees, and memories stretching back years. What unfolded was part woodland celebration, part fashion moment, and deeply personal family gathering.

The location carried meaning beyond its beauty. Tallulah described the Idaho home as a place where she learned to be free and developed the imagination that shaped her. Justin had also spent considerable time there during their relationship, allowing a place rooted in her childhood to become part of their shared life.

Their road to the altar began in a much less glamorous setting.

After connecting remotely, Justin invited Tallulah for coffee, but she was in Idaho at the time. Their conversations quickly stretched late into the night, progressing from texts to phone calls and FaceTime. They continued speaking every day until Tallulah returned to Los Angeles.

When they finally met face-to-face in January 2023, Justin picked her up at LAX. Tallulah greeted him with an impromptu dance move, he laughed, and before long they shared their first kiss.

Nearly two years later, in December 2024, they became engaged. Wedding planning began in January 2026. Although the couple briefly considered eloping, Tallulah ultimately embraced the opportunity to make the occasion something much more elaborate. They enlisted Sun Valley-based planner Heather Minor to help transform the family property into the setting for the celebration.

Fashion became one of the wedding’s major creative elements.

Tallulah’s mother, Demi Moore, delivered the news that Balenciaga would create her wedding gown. Tallulah drew inspiration from Cristóbal Balenciaga designs of the 1950s, eventually combining favorite elements from several sketches, including jeweled petals across the skirt and dramatic draping around the hips.

There was also a subtle connection between mother and daughter in the gown’s design. Its neckline took inspiration from a sculptural Balenciaga neckline Moore had previously worn to a Vanity Fair Oscar party.

The finished dress required 712 hours of work.

Tallulah completed the look with leather gloves, a veil and large diamond teardrop earrings from XIV Karats, leaving her neck bare so the architectural shape of the bodice could remain the focus. Her beauty look was intentionally understated, with Raoul Alejandre emphasizing her eyes and Dimitri Giannetos creating a softly undone updo.

Justin, meanwhile, wore a bespoke Dzojchen tuxedo styled by Masha Mandzuka. The label also created tuxedos for his father and two brothers.

Family was present throughout the weekend.

One photograph captured a tender moment between Tallulah, Justin and her father, Bruce Willis. Her sisters, Scout and Rumer Willis, wore matching custom Balenciaga silk-chiffon gowns, while Moore wore custom Balenciaga couture of her own.

Before the ceremony, Tallulah shared an emotional embrace with her mother. Looking back on the experience, she described Moore as the person who helped hold the entire celebration together.

At 6 p.m., the ceremony began on a small island in the backyard, reached by a wooden bridge.

Tallulah got ready in her mother’s bedroom before making her way toward the ceremony. After crossing the bridge, she approached a moss-covered platform where Justin and their friend Jeremy Lister, who officiated the wedding, were waiting.

The couple had planned to begin with meditation, hoping to settle their nerves.

Then came a surprise Tallulah never saw coming.

Jeremy revealed that someone special had prepared something for the couple. Tallulah looked toward the front row and saw her mother smiling. Music came through the speakers, followed by the unmistakable voice of Coldplay frontman Chris Martin performing a personalized song for Tallulah and Justin.

The surprise carried an extra emotional punch because Tallulah had been a Coldplay fan since middle school. Moments earlier, she had walked down the aisle to the band’s “A Message.”

Tallulah said she and Justin broke into laughter from sheer happiness as they realized what Moore had arranged for them. It became one of the moments she knew she would never forget.

The couple then exchanged vows they had written themselves.

Tallulah recalled being so focused on Justin that she barely registered the reactions around them. With trembling hands, they exchanged rings before being declared husband and wife.

Justin celebrated by dipping his new bride for a kiss.

Then, instead of slowly processing back toward the house, the newlyweds ran hand in hand across the bridge, overwhelmed by the reality that they were finally married.

They briefly retreated inside for a private moment before joining their guests. Moore and Scout then signed the marriage license as witnesses, making the union official.

Dinner was held near the river on another part of the property. Justin’s father and brothers delivered speeches, as did Moore, Scout and Rumer. Tallulah later shared a particularly sweet moment from Rumer’s remarks.

Once dinner and cake were finished, the elegant woodland ceremony shifted into a much less formal party.

Tallulah traded her Balenciaga gown for a tiny Vivienne Westwood dress sourced from LOHO Bride. Its fitted waist and flared skirt were designed for movement—and she quickly abandoned her shoes altogether.

The dance tent was dressed in flowing fabric, lights and bright flowers created by Eric Buterbaugh. Family friend Samantha Ronson took over as DJ.

For their first dance, Tallulah and Justin chose Beach House’s “Take Care.” Rather than relying on elaborate choreography, Justin simply lifted and swung his bride around when the moment felt right.

It was an ending that reflected the entire weekend: carefully designed, but still loose enough for spontaneous joy.

For Tallulah, the celebration brought together pieces of her past and future in one place—the home where she had grown up, the parents and sisters who surrounded her, and the man who had gradually become part of that landscape himself.

Days after the wedding, she summed up her feelings simply: she was filled with gratitude and excitement for what came next.

The celebration, she said, had surpassed even what she had imagined.
