ALLISON RAHMANI: BELOVED MOTHER OF FOUR REMEMBERED AFTER TRAGIC SUV CRASH

A Long Island community is mourning Allison Rahmani, a beloved teacher and mother of four who died after her SUV crashed into a backyard swimming pool in Hewlett, Nassau County.

Rahmani was 40 years old.

According to Nassau County police, she was driving a GMC on August 21 when she lost control in the driveway of a home on Elinor Road. The SUV struck a tree, then a parked and unoccupied 2006 Honda, before becoming submerged in an inground pool.

 SHE WAS ABLE TO CALL FOR HELP

In the moments after the crash, Rahmani was reportedly able to call for assistance.

She was removed from the vehicle before police arrived, and officers performed first aid before she was transported to a local hospital.

Despite those efforts, she was pronounced dead.

Her cause of death has not been publicly released, and Nassau County police continue to investigate the circumstances of the crash.

 INVESTIGATORS ARE EXAMINING A POSSIBLE MEDICAL EMERGENCY

The New York Post reported that sources close to the investigation believe Rahmani may have experienced some type of medical emergency before losing control of the SUV.

Those sources also said investigators do not currently suspect foul play.

However, that remains part of an ongoing investigation and should not be treated as a final determination of what caused the crash.

 A TEACHER WHO LOVED HER STUDENTS

Rahmani was a teacher and math coordinator at the Hebrew Academy of the Five Towns and Rockaway.

Friends and fellow educators remembered her as someone who cared deeply about children and went far beyond her responsibilities in the classroom.

One friend recalled that when a student’s mother passed away, Rahmani created a small beauty area inside her classroom so the grieving girls could have their hair done before school.

She wanted them to feel cared for and experience some sense of normality despite their loss.

HER HUSBAND’S HEARTBREAKING FAREWELL

Rahmani was laid to rest on August 23.

During the emotional funeral service, her husband, Matthew Rahmani, honored her by reciting Eshet Chayil, the traditional Jewish “Woman of Valor” prayer often associated with weddings.

He remembered Allison as the woman who stood beside him through difficult years and encouraged him whenever life became uncertain.

He also spoke about their four children and promised to continue raising them with the same love and care she had given them.

Her mother, Rachelle Rohde, told mourners:

“We are broken. We will never be the same.”

 A LIFE THAT EXTENDED FAR BEYOND HER FAMILY

Allison had recently celebrated her 40th birthday.

She and Matthew were also scheduled to leave for a romantic trip to Paris around the time of the tragedy.

Instead of beginning a vacation together, her family gathered to say goodbye.

Her sister described Allison as “the life of the party” and spoke about the future family moments they had expected to share but will now never happen.

 WHAT HAPPENED IN THOSE FINAL MOMENTS?

That remains the central unanswered question.

Why did Allison lose control of the SUV?

Did a medical emergency occur before the crash?

And what ultimately caused her death?

Authorities have not released a final cause of death, and the investigation remains ongoing.

Allison Rahmani was a wife, a mother of four and an educator who devoted herself to children.

Her family and friends now want her remembered not simply for the shocking circumstances of her final moments, but for the life she spent building, the students she helped and the family she loved.
