SECURITY VIDEO REVEALS ALISA GOODS’ FINAL MOMENTS BEFORE HER BODY WAS FOUND NEAR LAS VEGAS AIRPORT

LAS VEGAS — New surveillance footage has shed light on the final known moments of Alisa Goods, the 63-year-old New York grandmother who disappeared while visiting Las Vegas and was later found dead near Harry Reid International Airport.

According to police, footage from Aug. 8, the day Goods disappeared, shows her near the airport area. The video reportedly captures her falling down an embankment, getting back up and then collapsing.

Police said there was no further movement after she collapsed. Her location could not be seen from the nearby street, which may help explain why she was not discovered immediately.

SHE WAS MISSING FOR NEARLY TWO WEEKS

Goods had traveled from New York to Las Vegas to visit a longtime friend.

According to her family, she left the friend’s home on Aug. 8, reportedly intending to go to a CVS, but never returned. She was reported missing on Aug. 10 after failing to make her expected return trip.

Her family then began an increasingly desperate search, distributing information and appealing for help locating her.

But another disturbing detail soon emerged.

After Goods disappeared, relatives reportedly received messages from her phone asking for money, gas and Bitcoin.

The requests immediately appeared suspicious to her family, particularly because some of the messages did not sound like Goods.

Authorities later indicated that the messages appeared to have been sent by unrelated individuals or scammers using her phone information. Police have not said those messages were connected to her disappearance.

HER BODY WAS FOUND NEAR THE AIRPORT

On Aug. 20, Las Vegas police responded to a report of a deceased woman in a drainage area near Wayne Newton Boulevard and the Terminal 1 parking garage at Harry Reid International Airport.

The woman was subsequently identified as Goods.

The discovery came more than a week after the surveillance footage captured what police believe were her final movements.

WHY WASN’T SHE SEEN SOONER?

One of the most haunting details is the location itself.

Police said Goods’ position after the collapse was not visible from the street.

That meant people traveling through the area may have had no way of knowing someone was down the embankment.

The surveillance footage therefore provides investigators with an important timeline — but it does not necessarily answer every question surrounding her death.

Authorities have not publicly announced Goods’ official cause or manner of death.

The surveillance footage may indicate what happened physically before she disappeared from view, but investigators have not publicly stated exactly why she collapsed or whether any other circumstances contributed to her death.

That leaves several important questions unanswered.

Why was Goods at the airport area that afternoon?

What happened after she fell from the embankment?

And why did it take so long for anyone to discover her?

A FAMILY STILL SEARCHING FOR ANSWERS

Goods was a grandmother of five, and her disappearance prompted relatives to travel to Las Vegas and organize a search.

Her family has expressed profound grief following the discovery of her body and thanked members of the public who helped during the search.

The newly revealed footage may finally provide a clearer picture of her final known movements.

But until authorities release the findings of the medical examination and complete their investigation, the full circumstances surrounding Alisa Goods’ death remain unknown.

A woman disappeared while visiting Las Vegas. Nearly two weeks later, she was found near the airport — and surveillance footage may have captured the final moments before she vanished from view.
