“THEIR SON IS NOT TO BLAME!” — FAMILY DEMANDS ANSWERS AS QUESTIONS GROW OVER THE A66 POLICE PURSUIT

The family of one of the five young men involved in the A66 tragedy is demanding answers over the police pursuit that happened shortly before the devastating collision.

The Passat then entered the A66 travelling against the flow of traffic.

Police aborted the pursuit and continued on the correct side of the carriageway.

Around 10 seconds later, the Passat collided head-on with the marked police vehicle carrying PC Matthew Blades and PC Tom Clough. All seven people in the two vehicles died.
