Four Teens Allegedly Steal $220,000 G-Wagon Before Police Chase Ends in Fatal Crash

Four teenagers in New Jersey are accused of stealing a 2024 Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon valued at approximately $220,000, before the vehicle was involved in a deadly crash during a police pursuit.

The luxury SUV was reportedly spotted in Longport, New Jersey, around 3:40 a.m. on August 22, 2026. Police later located the vehicle in Hamilton Township and attempted to pursue it.

G-Wagon Crashes Into Hyundai

Between approximately 7:30 and 7:50 a.m., authorities said the G-Wagon was traveling against traffic on Route 50 in Mays Landing when it collided head-on with a Hyundai.

Two people inside the Hyundai, 67-year-old Alice Stilwell Holt and 54-year-old Robert “Bob” Barr Jr., were killed in the collision.

The G-Wagon’s four occupants survived the crash and were subsequently arrested.

One of those arrested was identified as 18-year-old Nayshaun Brown. The identities of the other three suspects have not been released because they are minors.

The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the full circumstances surrounding the alleged theft, police pursuit and fatal collision.
