Italian Man Allegedly Kidnaps Ex-Girlfriend and Throws Her From 131-Foot Bridge Before Killing Himself

Italian Woman Allegedly Thrown From Bridge After Calling Police From Car Trunk
A 46-year-old woman in Italy allegedly called police from inside the trunk of her own car after being abducted by her former boyfriend, in a terrifying incident that ended with her being thrown from a bridge, according to authorities.
The victim, Lorena Isceri, 46, worked for a veterinary company. Her alleged attacker was identified as Federico Vella, 36, a manager at a car rental company.
The couple had reportedly ended their relationship about three weeks before the incident. Police are investigating jealousy as a possible motive.

Woman Secretly Calls Police From Trunk
According to the reported account, Vella allegedly ambushed Isceri in the garage of her home in Florence before overpowering her and forcing her into the trunk of her Audi.
While trapped inside, Isceri reportedly discovered a phone in her backpack. She managed to use it to contact police and desperately pleaded for help while providing information about her alleged abductor.
Investigators were able to trace the phone’s signal, leading them to the vehicle as it traveled through Tuscany toward Bologna.
Allegedly Thrown Nearly 40 Meters
Police reportedly located the Audi near a viaduct as officers moved in on the vehicle.
When Vella allegedly opened the trunk, he discovered Isceri holding the phone she had used to contact authorities. Investigators allege that he then threw her from the bridge from a height of approximately 131 feet, or nearly 40 meters.
The incident ended in another fatal act when Vella reportedly jumped from the bridge as police closed in.
Before his death, he allegedly claimed that Isceri had “betrayed” and mistreated him.
Investigation Underway
The reported sequence of events is now being examined by investigators, including the circumstances surrounding the alleged abduction, the emergency call from the trunk and the events at the viaduct.
The case has also raised concerns about the dangers that can follow the breakdown of intimate relationships, particularly when alleged jealousy and threats escalate into violence.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding Isceri’s death and Vella’s actions.
