Christmas may still be months away, but for Bradley Carlisle, the magic of Santa Claus has already begun.

Bradley Carlisle made history as the first professional Santa Claus in the United States with Down syndrome. After completing training at Atlanta’s Northern Lights Santa School, he received another incredible honor: induction into the International Santa Hall of Fame.

For Bradley, becoming Santa was more than simply putting on a red suit. It was a lifelong dream.

“I love to wear my suit and a beard and the glasses,” Bradley shared. “It’s my dream to be in a Santa school, because I like to help with the kids.”

Rick Rosenthal, founder of Northern Lights Santa Academy, believes Bradley brings something truly special to the role. His Down syndrome, he says, gives him a natural sensitivity and warmth that cannot simply be taught in a classroom.

“Some people consider it a challenge. I consider it a gift,” Rosenthal said. “He’s got an innate, natural sensitivity that I could never get. It’s a beautiful thing.”

And perhaps the most touching part came when Bradley was asked what it feels like to put on the famous red suit.

His answer was simple.

“It feels like love.”

For the children who meet him, Bradley may be more than just Santa. He is a reminder that dreams have no limits, kindness comes in many forms, and sometimes the people who see the world differently are the ones who can make the magic feel most real.

This Christmas, Santa isn’t just bringing presents.

He’s bringing love, hope, and a message that everyone has a special gift to share.
