Rhinovirus — June 16, 2025 vs. September 5, 2026 Two dates. Two images. And a difference that immediately catches your attention.

The image on the left, taken on June 16, 2025, shows the earlier appearance associated with rhinovirus. More than a year later, the image on the right, taken on September 5, 2026, appears noticeably different when the two are placed side by side.

Looking at them individually, some of the changes might be easy to overlook. But when the images are compared directly, the contrast becomes much more noticeable. The differences in appearance can make you stop and wonder just how much can change over the course of a year.

Rhinoviruses are among the viruses commonly responsible for the common cold, and infections can cause symptoms such as a runny or stuffy nose, sore throat, coughing, sneezing, and general discomfort. Symptoms can also vary from one infection to another and from person to person.

That is why a visual comparison like this can be so striking. The images may look dramatically different, but a photograph alone cannot determine what caused a particular change or whether it represents a worsening or improvement in someone’s health. Medical professionals and appropriate testing are needed to interpret health-related changes accurately.

Still, seeing the June 16, 2025 image beside the September 5, 2026 image makes one thing clear: the contrast is difficult to ignore.

LEFT: June 16, 2025
RIGHT: September 5, 2026

More than a year apart — yet placed side by side, the difference is immediately noticeable.

Sometimes, a simple before-and-after comparison can make us pause, look closer, and appreciate just how important it is to pay attention to changes in our health over time.
