FOUR PEOPLE ACCUSED IN BABY S CASE NOW FACE ANOTHER SERIOUS ALLEGATION — AND IT CENTERS ON WHAT HAPPENED AFTER HER D̸E̸A̸T̸H̸

Four people accused in the case involving newborn Baby S are now facing an additional serious allegation — and prosecutors say it concerns what allegedly happened after the infant was already gone.

Andrea Skopova, 20, Peter Horvath Jr., 19, Peter Horvath Sr., 38, and Nina Horvathova, 37, are due to stand trial next year over the circumstances surrounding Baby S’s d̸e̸a̸t̸h̸.

But the allegations against them go beyond the newborn’s d̸e̸a̸t̸h̸.

Prosecutors are also accusing the four of causing or allowing the d̸e̸a̸t̸h̸ of a child and of perverting the course of justice, with the latter allegation reportedly involving the cleaning of the scene.

The case has now entered another dramatic stage as the defendants appeared at Sheffield Crown Court.

A HIGH-SECURITY COURT APPEARANCE

All four defendants appeared alongside a 15-year-old girl, whose identity is protected because of her age.

The courtroom was under heavy security, with seven security guards positioned around the glass-fronted dock.

Two Slovak interpreters were also present as the proceedings unfolded.

Meanwhile, around 26 relatives watched from the public gallery.

The extraordinary courtroom scene reflected the seriousness of the allegations surrounding Baby S — a case that has raised disturbing questions about what happened inside the family home before and after the newborn’s d̸e̸a̸t̸h̸.

PROSECUTORS ALLEGE THE SCENE WAS CLEANED

One of the most serious new elements in the case concerns the alleged cleaning of the scene.

Prosecutors claim that the defendants were involved in actions that allegedly interfered with what investigators needed to examine.

The allegation of perverting the course of justice is separate from the accusations concerning Baby S’s d̸e̸a̸t̸h̸ and will be considered as part of the wider criminal proceedings.

The defendants have not been convicted, and the allegations against them remain matters for the court to determine.

TRIAL SET FOR NEXT YEAR

The four adults are expected to face trial next year as prosecutors continue building their case.

The presence of the 15-year-old defendant adds another layer of complexity to the proceedings, with strict legal protections applying because she is a minor.

For Baby S’s family, the case has now moved far beyond the original questions surrounding the newborn’s final moments.

Investigators and prosecutors are also examining what allegedly happened in the aftermath — including claims that the scene was cleaned and that the course of justice may have been interfered with.

As the case moves toward trial, the court will ultimately have to determine what happened to Baby S, who was responsible, and what happened inside the home after the tragedy unfolded.

For now, every defendant remains presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
