A BRAVE BATTLE: BARRETT’S JOURNEY WITH ATRT

Little Barrett Barnes faced an extraordinary challenge when doctors discovered ATRT, a rare and highly aggressive brain tumor, located deep within his cerebellum and dangerously close to the brainstem. The devastating diagnosis turned his world upside down, launching his family into an intense medical fight for his survival.

Treating ATRT requires a highly rigorous and exhaustive medical regimen. Barrett first underwent a complex surgery to target the tumor, followed by four intensive rounds of high-dose chemotherapy. To ensure every aggressive cell was confronted, he then completed 30 localized rounds of proton beam radiation, alongside two additional therapeutic cycles to prevent relapse.

Through every grueling treatment, procedure, and hospital stay, Barrett demonstrated remarkable strength and resilience far beyond his years.
