“FOREVER LOVED, FOREVER MISSED, FOREVER 6” — SIX-YEAR-OLD HARRISON DIES AFTER FINAL BIKE RIDE
“FOREVER LOVED, FOREVER MISSED, FOREVER 6” — SIX-YEAR-OLD HARRISON DIES AFTER FINAL BIKE RIDE
Harrison Glynne Jones had only just asked to go out on his bike after dinner when tragedy struck outside his family home in North Wales.
For six-year-old Harrison Glynne Jones, it was supposed to be an ordinary evening.
The little boy had asked his parents if he could go for a bike ride after dinner.
But moments later, his family’s world was changed forever.
Harrison died following a collision involving a white Ford Transit Tipper on Mill Road in Llanfairfechan, Conwy, shortly after 5pm on Thursday, October 1.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, but despite their efforts, Harrison was pronounced dead at the scene.
A LITTLE BOY WHO COULD LIGHT UP A ROOM
Harrison’s family have described him as a “cheeky chappy” who was full of character and had a personality that could light up a room.
Those who knew him say he was loved more deeply than words could express.
His death has left his parents, Daryl and Kayleigh, and his two older sisters, Sienna, 9, and Eira, 16, facing an unimaginable loss.
A family statement described the moment their lives changed as something that words could never adequately capture.
The family said they were struggling to come to terms with losing their little boy so suddenly.
THE CRASH THAT SHATTERED A FAMILY
Police were called shortly after 5pm following reports of a collision involving a child and a vehicle.
The incident happened on Mill Road, near the Pen y Bryn Road area.
North Wales Police confirmed that the vehicle involved was a white Ford Transit Tipper.
A 39-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences. He has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
Police have not released further details about the circumstances of the collision and have urged people not to speculate while the investigation remains ongoing.
POLICE APPEAL FOR ANSWERS
Detective Inspector Tim Evans, from North Wales Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said officers were continuing to investigate what happened.
Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who was in the area around Pen y Bryn Road and Mill Road at about 5pm who has not yet spoken to investigators.
They are also asking residents and motorists to check whether they have:
- CCTV footage
- Doorbell-camera recordings
- Dashcam footage
- Any other material that may have captured the incident or the moments beforehand
Police stressed that even footage that appears insignificant could potentially help establish what happened.
A COMMUNITY RALLIES AROUND HIS FAMILY
As Harrison’s family prepares to say goodbye, the local community has rallied around them.
A fundraiser was established to help with funeral and memorial costs, as well as household expenses while his parents take time away from work to grieve.
Within days, donations had passed £23,000, far exceeding the original £5,000 target.
Tributes have also been left for Harrison, while local sporting communities have held moments of silence in his memory.
“FOREVER 6”
Behind the heartbreaking headlines is a family mourning a six-year-old boy whose life had barely begun.
Harrison was not simply the child at the centre of a police investigation.
He was a son.
A brother.
A little boy remembered for his laughter, his personality and the light he brought into the lives around him.
His family’s final message captures the depth of their loss:
“Forever loved, forever missed, forever 6.”
And as police continue searching for answers, the people who loved Harrison are left with memories of a little boy who should have had a lifetime ahead of him.
